Express your Heart - Playback Theatre Intensive

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This event is a two-days intensive Playback Theatre workshop where we are going to play with our creativity, exploring physical and vocal expression and reconnecting with our spontaneity.

In such complex times, we may feel easily emotional: sometimes it is hard to hold on to something stable when everything around us is going fast and constantly changing. The practice of conscious theatrical improvisation allows us to discover our true self, the part of us that is authentic and not ever changing according to the circumstances. Our center, our heart.

Our center is also the place where our inner resources harbour. By exploring what is available for us on stage, we have the chance to become more aware of them and to acknowledge them. Whatever we do on stage is a reflection of what there is in our life.

The purpose of this workshop is to become friends with our instinctive expression, learn the basics of Playback Theatre and to become a bit more aware of ourselves, without analysis or therapy, but through our body.

Playback Theatre is a form of improvisational theatre where the performers improvise on the spot starting from personal stories shared by the audience. By witnessing their lives being mirrored on the stage, everyone becomes involved in this process that moves fluidly from the personal to the social and archetypical dimension.

BASIC INFO

In this group, everyone is invited to try each role: being an actor, being a member of the audience, sharing their personal story and being a musician.
